New Smart People magazine editorial board member

e-board_dysartSay hello to Jane I. Dysart, co-founder of Dysart & Jones Associates, Canada, as a new member of Smart People magazine’s editorial board. For Smart People magazine Jane will act as Library and Information Science expert. Through this function Jane will complement the current editorial board very well:

  • Tom Davenport, Information technology
  • David Gurteen, Knowledge management
  • Alice MacGillivray, Smart People networkers
  • Robert Wendover, Generational studies

“Prior to founding Dysart & Jones in 1992, Jane spent seventeen years as Manager, Information Resources with Royal Bank of Canada. Thanks in part to her work as head of its state-of-the-art information resources department, the company entered a decade of profound and rapid technologies change well positioned to take advantage of the changes that were to come. Her extensive experience makes Jane a frequently requested speaker on topics ranging from vision and leadership to information technology and change management strategies at conferences and industry events. She teaches continuing education and professional development courses with the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Information Studies. Jane is former President of Special Libraries Association, and recipient of that organization’s John Cotton Dana Award.”

“Since 1992, Dysart & Jones has given clients expert consultation in knowledge management, strategic planning, and professional recruitment.” (Source: Dysart & Jones)

Yes, Jane. Welcome to the Smart People Editorial Board.

I must admit I’ve been entirely too silent about the exceptional people who have begun populating this all-important advisory board and I’m going to remedy that with the next issue.

It will probably be just a little blurb in the magazine because I don’t want to fill too much space with “in-house” chatter. But I’ll link the blurb to special posts here in my blog for people who really want to know more about the five who have been carefully added over the first five issues of the magazine.

Then I’ll link each of the EB photos to the respective posts so that people can know more by clicking in any html edition.

Meanwhile, we are all grateful for the interdisciplinary expertise our board volunteers bring to our table.

    Jerry
